Thanks for a great 40th anniversary market year!
The Ithaca Farmers Market is an owner –operated cooperative market with over 160 members. Since it got its start 40 years ago the market has offered farmers, artisans, bakers, food producers, townspeople and tourists the opportunity to come together in a relaxed social atmosphere to find all sorts of products grown and produced within a thirty mile radius of our main home, the market pavilion at Steamboat Landing.
On Saturdays and Sundays from April thru December, we are located in a beautiful setting on the waterfront at historic Steamboat Landing, selling local products from a covered pavilion that the membership volunteered to build 24 years ago. In addition, because of public demand we have expanded to three other locations within the City of Ithaca. Thanks to our success we are now open 52 weeks a year.
We are pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for the 2014 season to sell at the Wednesday evening (at East Hill Plaza) and Thursday evening (at Dewitt Park) markets. Please go to the “Becoming a Vendor Page” to fill out all the appropriate applications.
It’s all happening at the market!
We are sorry that dogs are no longer allowed inside the pavilion during market on either Saturday or Sunday. Often the market is too crowded and the liability question has become too difficult for the market to cover.
